AFC Fylde Community Foundation are delighted to share the touching feedback we received from the parent of two children who attend our holiday camps.
Throughout every school holiday the Foundation provides Holiday Camps as a way to support families who require childcare during school holidays.
We offer a Fylde Football Camp at Fylde Sports and Education Centre and alternatively, if football isn't your child's thing, an Activity Camp at Kirkham St Michael's Primary School.
Ryder (8) and Reggie (6) are two brothers who regularly attend our Activity Camp in Kirkham.
Both of them have complex Special Educational Needs (S.E.N) which can prove finding a safe and comfortable environment challenging for them.
Our normal operating hours for camps run from 09:00-16:00 with the option of an extended day from 08:00-17:00 coming at an extra cost.

Ryder and Reggie receive their places through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. In an attempt to make them feel more comfortable and at ease we provide them with the opportunity to come in early each day so they can relax and settle in, rather than entering an already chaotic environment that may potentially be overstimulating.
Ryder and Reggie's Mum, Lauren, said: "As a parent of two children with Special Educational Needs (S.E.N.), finding an inclusive and supportive environment has always been a priority. This holiday club has exceeded all expectations.
"The level of care and attention provided by the staff is truly remarkable. They demonstrate a deep understanding of the diverse needs of each child, creating a safe and nurturing space where every child can thrive. The team's professional and experienced approach ensures that activities are tailored to accommodate individual requirements, promoting engagement and enjoyment for all.
"I have witnessed first hand the positive impact this holiday club has had on my children. Their confidence has grown, and they look forward to each session. It is a testament to the dedication and passion of the staff, who go above and beyond to create a memorable and enriching experience for every child.
"I wholeheartedly recommend this holiday club to any parent seeking a supportive and inclusive holiday program for their children, especially those with S.E.N."
Our Sports Development team work tirelessly to ensure a fantastic service for both children and parents / caregivers, so receiving feedback like this makes all the time and effort worth it.
We hope everyone who attends our Holiday Camps feels the same way Lauren, Ryder and Reggie do. We look forward to welcoming everyone back at the end of October!
