We welcome The Small Business Academy as a Friend of the Foundation

AFC Fylde Community Foundation is delighted to announce The Small Business Academy as our latest Friend of the Foundation.

The Small Business Academy have provided the Foundation with £1,000 worth of funding to become a 'Friend' and in return will receive perks and benefits as a token of our appreciation.

We welcome local businesses to have a true impact on their community whilst also expanding their reach.

Managing Director, Nikki Hesford, explained why she chose to become a Friend of the Foundation: "We are a Fylde based business and I am from Fylde myself. The Foundation does lots of really good work, which I was already familiar with as my son attends the Holiday Camps they host.

"Therefore, it was already an organisation I was familiar with and when I researched them further, the campaigns and programmes being ran really impressed me."

Nikki, also said: "The Small Business Academy helps businesses that are starting out or want to increase their growth.

"We provide mentoring training, marketing support, office space, venue hire and much more that helps develop new businesses."

She also stated how her company is already benefitting from the new partnership: "Our new partnership has already introduced new opportunities, for example the Networking Brunch we recently attended. That was a great experience to make some new and useful connections that I wouldn't have made if not for the Foundation."

Our Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Brett Whitehead, said: "Having The Small Business Academy as a Friend of the Foundation is brilliant; the very nature of their business means we connect with more local business owners and use their fantastic network to help improve the Borough of Fylde.

"We offered Nikki the opportunity to be a guest speaker at our most recent Networking Event, which she kindly accepted and did a great job! It was very insightful to find out the impact she has on others and their careers.
