Job Vacancy: Chief Executive Officer


AFC Fylde Community Foundation are seeking a new Chief Executive Officer.


They will deliver inspirational senior leadership, strategic direction and have overall responsibility for all functions of the charity.


In this key role, the ideal candidate will deliver an ambitious strategic plan that increases both the Community Foundation’s and Football Club’s brand, impact, and reputation.


As an ambassador for both the Community Foundation and Club, the role will foster a positive culture, ensuring staff at all levels across the organisation are inspired and encouraged to succeed and prosper.


The Trustees are looking for a high calibre Chief Executive Officer who has exceptional business development experience with the skillset to provide ambitious strategic leadership for the Community Foundation.


Length of Contract: Permanent

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)


You will:

  • Work with the Board of Trustees, AFC Fylde and key stakeholders to develop the Foundation’s strategic business plan and then deliver against it.

  • Lead on the implementation of the Foundation’s 2024 – 2027 strategy and operational plans.

  • Lead a team of senior managers to identify new partnerships and diverse income generation opportunities (both restricted and unrestricted) in line with the Foundation’s strategy.

  • Ensure all Foundation activities are underpinned by thorough financial planning and governance.

  • Manage relationships with key partners including AFC Fylde, Fylde Council, EFL Trust and the National League Trust.


You will have:

  • Safeguarding Level 2 Qualification.

  • Proven track record of attracting diverse income streams for charitable or commercial organisations to enable businesses to grow and increase sustainability/profitability.

  • Experience of engaging with key organisations such as local authorities, national governing bodies, commercial partners and health bodies.

  • Experience within a senior leadership role and of helping to establish a positive culture amongst staff members.

  • Proven track record of managing diverse teams including management and project delivery staff.

  • Proven track record of managing large scale budgets.
