AFC Fylde Community Foundation 2023 Impact Report

Updated: Apr 19

AFC Fylde Community Foundation is proud to launch their 2023 Impact Report. A year to remember both on and off the field. AFC Fylde celebrated promotion to the National League whilst the Community Foundation received the award for Community Club of the Year - Highly Commended at the 2023 Armstrong Projects Northwest Football Awards.

The Impact Report acknowledges all of the dedication and commitment our Foundation provides for the Fylde Borough in our specialised areas - Employability and Skills, Schools and Education, Community Development & Health and Wellbeing.

We also dive into the stories of certain individuals whose lives we've helped improve - whether that be finding them employment or education, supporting them through their rehabilitation or just providing a safe space to prevent social isolation.

We are delighted to announce that during 2023 we:

  • Worked with over 7,000 people between 2 and 103 years old

  • Delivered over 11,000 sessions

  • Over £742,000 invested into local communities

Our Foundation Director, Wes Partington, who has overseen the Foundation for four years, said: "The Foundation team of staff works tirelessly to ensure the needs of our participants are met, catering for people from all walks of life.

"Their enthusiasm, commitment and passion for their roles was deservedly recognised at the Northwest Football Awards, with the Foundation being the first ever charity from a National League North club to win an award.

"The Foundation has seen significant growth over the last few years and we are keen to continue on that path."
