Foundation partners with Lotus School to offer new Sports and Education Development programme!

AFC Fylde Community Foundation are delighted to be working on a new partnership with Lotus School, which will see the Foundation delivering a weekly sports and education development programme at its base at Fylde Sports and Education centre for year 10 students.

The Foundation will support referred pupils to participate in a holistic, person-centred and stimulating educational experience which will be delivered by qualified tutors. The Foundation intends to deliver a curriculum which provides AQA unit award qualifications around Effective Communication Skills, Introduction to sport and Leadership in Sport.

Michael Whittle, assistant foundation director, said “It's great that we are able to offer such a provision. It not only gives students opportunities where they wouldn’t have the chance before, but also enhances the work in which we are doing across the local community.

"It just shows the reputation that we are developing at the Foundation, when we are approached by education providers such as Lotus School to deliver these programmes."
