Working alongside our partners, AFC Fylde Community Foundation are proud to have supported 417 children in 19 local primary schools through the Fylde Kids Christmas Gift Appeal.
All the presents that have been generously donated by businesses and individuals in our community will ensure that every youngster in Fylde has a present to open on Christmas Day!
Throughout the course of this week, we have dropped off the gifts to local schools who identified pupils who would benefit from the Fylde Kids Christmas Gift Appeal.
We have worked closely alongside Fylde Council, Fylde Rugby Community Foundation, and iHope to spread some Christmas cheer in our local communities.
The Foundation and local partners have been able give vulnerable families peace of mind and help make the festive period a little more special for children across Fylde.
And the response that we have received has been fantastic, with the community coming together to support those who need it the most.
Sadly, we know that this will be a tough Christmas for local families with the financial impact of the rise in the cost of living continuing to cause an unprecedented challenge for thousands of the most disadvantaged low-income families and individuals living in our borough – so the gifts that we have received are greatly appreciated.
Michael Whittle, Assistant Foundation Director at AFC Fylde Community Foundation, said: “It’s been a tough year for some of our families in the local area, so we have had to support double the amount of children for the Fylde Kids Christmas Gift Appeal this Christmas.”
“But with the help and support of our partners, we have been able to provide presents for children and their families who need some added support.
“We would like to thank everyone in the community for donating to the Fylde Kids Christmas Gift Appeal.”
