AFC Fylde Community Foundation are delighted to announce that the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) has provided funding for our new 'Her Space' programme.
The project is a girls only group that is designed to provide girls with a safe space to have fun but also attend educational workshops relating to violence against women and girls (VAWG).
The aim is to create a trusting environment and safe space for girls to learn and share their experiences in the Fylde area.
The session will take place every Tuesday from 16:00-18:00 weekly at Kirkham Community Centre for 12-weeks.
Our Community Engagement Manager, Daisy Sheridan, said: "We are delighted that the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner funded this programme.
"We strongly believe that this will have a positive impact on young girls around Fylde and help further educate them on any potential issues they may face in the future.
"I would like to thank the PCC for placing their trust within the Foundation and also the supporting partners of Fylde Council and Fylde Police."
