AFC Fylde and AFC Fylde Community Foundation are proud to support Level Playing Field’s Unite For Access campaign.
This year, Level Playing Field is running from Saturday 24th February to Sunday 10th March, with a focus on raising awareness and driving equality for disabled sports fans and creating a more inclusive environment when attending live games.
Clubs in the Premier League, Sky Bet EFL and Vanarama National League, along with other sports, come together each year to back an important Level Playing Field initiative for disabled supporters.
This year’s Level Playing Field’s Unite For Access campaign will highlight ‘Hidden Disabilities.’
And the Vanarama National League back Level Playing Field across its three divisions, with all member clubs encouraged to get involved and deliver meaningful change.
2023 was a record-breaking year for Level Playing Field, taking the total number of teams beyond 120.
Over the years the annual Level Playing Field campaign has seen hundreds of sports clubs, associations, and organisations, along with thousands of supporters, celebrate good access and inclusion throughout live sport by pulling on t-shirts, rolling out banners, and sharing disabled fans’ stories.
AFC Fylde are an inclusive and accessible Football Club, with the Community Foundation also supporting people in our local community with disabilities, including the Just Join In programme.
Just Join In is a multi-sports project open to children who are living with a disability, which takes place on a Friday evening at Fylde Sports and Education Centre between 5:30pm-6:30pm.
The sessions offer a range of sports and activities delivered by qualified and experienced coaches, as well as the opportunity to make new friends, grow confidence and take part in local competitions.
Everyone at AFC Fylde and AFC Fylde Community Foundation are backing Level Playing Field’s Unite For Access.
