Fylde and Wyre Volunteering Lesson Three: Managing Risk, Confidentiality and EDI
In this session, we're going to focus on understanding risks and how to effectively manage them whilst volunteering. Working with vulnerable adults comes with responsibilities, and it's essential that we are proactive about keeping both you and the person you’re supporting safe.
This training will help you understand why confidentiality is so important, how to protect sensitive information, and how you can ensure that the people you support feel safe and respected.
In this session, we’ll be discussing why EDI is so important in your role as a volunteer, particularly when you are working with vulnerable adults. As you provide support to individuals in the Borough of Fylde, it’s essential that you understand how to promote fairness, respect, and inclusion in all your interactions.
