HEALTH WORKSHOPS
AFC Fylde Community Foundation are proud owners of three six-week health workshops, aiming to provide children with the knowledge of health, wellbeing and fitness. Our Get On Board programme has been successfully running now for three years, giving an introduction to mental and physical health, which provides children with an insight for all things mental health. We aim to educate young people on mental health and what contributes to their mental health positively and negatively, whilst aiding them to achieve a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle. This is a theoretical workshop that takes place for one hour per week for six weeks within the classroom at your choice of setting.
Our second six-week health workshop focuses primarily on resilience, educating young people on coping strategies and how to excel through testing times. We felt that this was a perfect opportunity to create and deliver this programme through the Covid-19 pandemic, showing coping mechanisms to allow young people to create their own resilience, using their own methods. This workshop is a half theoretical, and half practical workshop based over one hour per week within your setting.
Our third and final health six week workshop is our Fylde’s Fit, helping to tackle childhood obesity by educating young people on their dietary choices, exercise habits and sleep patterns. This workshop challenges young people to think about their actions and what healthy changes they could make to help themselves. This workshop also links in well with our mental health workshop as we talk about the effects of physical activity on our bodies and our minds. This workshop is a half theoretical, and half practical workshop based over one hour per week within your setting.
Each six week workshop is priced at £400 per one, this includes all resources, club merchandise, and certificates. If two workshops are booked, the price would be £600 for both, furthermore if all three workshops are booked, the price for all three would be £1,000.
