The Foundation have now announced a date for its second official Open Evening to spread awareness about the innovative programme. It will take place on 17th January at Churchill’s conference centre, Mill Farm between 6pm-8pm. This will be a great opportunity for all 16-19 year olds to find out everything there is to know about the Futsal programme.
Following the recent success of the previous Futsal open evening the Foundation have continued to push ahead setting new dates and even introducing free Futsal taster clinic’s to give interested students a chance to get a feel for the game and play Futsal with the team from the Foundation. Working in partnership with Virtual Learning UK (VLUK), the Foundation will begin to roll out the highly acclaimed programme in September 2017.
The Futsal programme is a two or three year course that enables its young participants to work towards academic qualifications whilst taking part in physical activity. During the course, students will be based full time at Mill Farm Sports Village and will divide their time between educational sessions and playing Futsal.
Futsal programme lead Ryan Vaughan is delighted the date for the open evening is now set in stone. He said “The open evening will be a great opportunity for everybody interested to come down, chat with the team at the Foundation and find out more information regarding the programme and see if it is something that’s right for them!”
