AFC Fylde Community Foundation Ambassador – Mark Menzies
The AFC Fylde Community Foundation is delighted to announce that Fylde MP, Mark Menzies has been named as an official ambassador for the Foundation after witnessing first-hand the excellent work carried out throughout the community.
The AFC Fylde Community Foundation work across the Fylde Coast to educate, motivate and inspire future generations to build better communities for all. Mark, who is the Conservative Member of Parliament for Fylde, will attend monthly sessions showcasing all the positive work done by the AFC Fylde Community Foundation on a daily basis.
Mark will also help support the Foundation by promoting activities through his political network and showcasing programmes nationwide.
AFC Fylde Community Foundation director Tom Hutton believes Mark’s appointment as ambassador will be hugely beneficial as the Foundation continue to grow: “We are delighted to have Mark on board. He has really embraced what were are trying to achieve here and he will be able to spread the word far and wide. We are very proud that the work we are doing is recognised and the fact that people want to be involved with us is a huge compliment. We are looking forward to a long and prosperous working relationship together.”
Mark Menzies is delighted to represent the AFC Fylde Community Foundation as their official ambassador. Mark said, “I was delighted to be asked to become an AFC Fylde Community Foundation ambassador, as I know all about the excellent work the team is doing with young people and adults across Fylde.
“The Foundation uses sport as a way to give people the opportunity to learn new skills which may help them in other areas of their lives, and has already had a number of success stories.
“They are currently involved with various partner organisations – including BAE Systems and Sport England – in running worthwhile projects locally and I am keen to see what I can do to help further enhance the positive impact the Foundation has already had.”
AFC Fylde Community Foundation Player Ambassador – Danny Rowe
The AFC Fylde Community Foundation are delighted to announce that AFC Fylde striker Danny Rowe has been named as Player Ambassador for The Foundation.
Danny Rowe has extensive experience of coaching and has been with The Foundation for over three months delivering football/multi-skills sessions in numerous schools all over the Fylde Coast. And Danny admitted he is proud to take the honour. Danny said, “I got involved with The AFC Fylde Community Foundation because I wanted to give back to the community. I really enjoy going into schools and delivering basic and advanced football//multi-skills. A lot of children I have taught are AFC Fylde fans and it’s good to see that they’re eager to soak up some of the skills I am teaching them.”
Danny added, “It’s a great achievement to be the Player Ambassador for The Foundation. I know how much work The Foundation put into the local community. We coach in so many schools on the Fylde Coast, Blackpool and Preston and we are constantly expanding.”
